Questions people often ask
Your questions
How much does a session cost?
€80 for a 50 minute session.
Do you work in person?
No, I work online only, with adults living anywhere in Ireland.
Where are you based?
I’m currently living in Thailand. Sessions are online, and your records are stored securely within the EU. See the privacy notice for the details.
How do I get started?
Book a session online, or email me at info@robbiesemple.com if you’d like to ask anything first.
What’s your cancellation policy?
You can cancel at any stage up to 48 hours before your appointment.
Is it confidential?
Yes, within the standard ethical and legal limits of psychotherapy, which I’ll explain clearly when we meet.
What kind of therapy do you offer?
I’m trained in humanistic and integrative psychotherapy, and I draw on relational, existential, person-centred and psychodynamic ways of working. At the heart of how I work is the relationship between us, using it to explore what’s causing you pain, and where you have freedom to approach things differently.
Who do you work with?
Adults living in Ireland, from students and young professionals to activists and older people. I see people individually, so I don’t work with couples or with anyone under 18.
Is online therapy right for me?
Online therapy suits many people, but not everyone. If you live outside Ireland, would prefer to meet in person, or need more support than a weekly online session can offer (for example with addiction, or if you are having thoughts of suicide), another service will be a better fit. If you are in crisis now, call 112 or 999, or Samaritans free on 116 123, day or night.
When are sessions available?
Early-morning appointments are available. You can see open times when you book.
Would you like to talk?
You can book a session online. If you’d like to ask anything first, you’re welcome to email me.
